"Idol," spot reaction

I enjoyed this ep in a moderate way.
I wish they'd handle more of the visiting superheroes the way they handled the Wonder Twins: let 'em strut their stuff in one ep and then be on their way. Eps like "Run" and "Legion" are sufficient unto themselves and don't need follow ups, IMO. Anyway, I liked them, and particularly cackled at their canonical ref to being Swedish exchange students.
You know, I can see why people dislike Lois. Her personality can be grating, and she certainly can be flippant/rude. But I find her so refreshing for Clark after Lana. Clark is so earnest and has spent so many seasons being guilt-ridden and sober that I'm glad he's finally with someone he can have fun with. She makes me laugh and I'll take a million of her over Lana any day. I love the way her pony tail bounces when she walks. And I'd have fantasies like that, too, if I sat across from Clark!
The "contacts" suggestion was funny, but not everyone can wear contacts, Lois. I was always told that there were no contacts suited to my particular optical situation, and Clark could be the same way.
I really like what they're doing with Chloe, now, too. I'm seriously interested in what's going to happen next with her!
My heart was torn out and stomped pretty much dead in S6 and during the S8 Lana arc, so I'm no longer invested emotionally to any great extent. I'll be a Clexer forever, but I'm pleased to support Clois. I think they could present the relationship in a less random, chaotic way, but this IS SV, after all.
Does TW ever not look smokin' fine.
When he said: "I'm not a brand," I laughed. And the Facebook/Twitter references were a hoot.
I'll need to rewatch before I can say anything more substantial.
