Mr. Price was one of my very first celebrity crushes. When I was 10-11 and into my teens, I devoured American International Poe films (most of which were quite different from the stories and poems on which they were based) and fell irrevocably in love and admiration that burns brightly to this day. Vincent Price could be in the lamest, silliest, B to end all B movies, and elevate them from mediocrity to something wonderful. When I was a kid, I remember thinking he was ACTUALLY Edgar Allan Poe, and was surprised to realize he was but an actor. But what an actor!
