acampbellRobert Thompson of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University, [regarding the Colorado balloon-boy incident] said that the incident "was a wake-up call to the media but it's a wake-up call that every single one of us is going to sleep through." Thompson blamed technology rather than the media for the problem.
