We were so prepared, but it was kind of a downer Hallowe'en. We only had about 10 kids trick or treat, though we had tons of candy at the ready. I cooked all afternoon, but the Pumpkin Risotto sucked (the cheese soup was good) but, as so often happens, I was too tired to be hungry when it was all ready.

Marian was so looking forward to being a Lawn Gnome this year, but the poor baby was so sick she couldn't eat a thing and just went home to bed instead of out partying as she'd planned.

This is her and her BF, Brandon, finally dressed in the costume he was born for. Because, you see, that's his REAL HAIR. We always tease him that he looks like a combination of Jack Sparrow and Will Turner. Like, you know, what their Love Child might look like. Don't you agree?

Leah has been wild about Hallowe'en since she was a toddler and remains so to this day. She vows that someday she'll get married on Hallowe'en.

This is her and a couple of kids who stopped by from her Sunday School class.

Leah's BF doesn't like scary movies, so they went in her room to watch Firefly and I was left to watch all but the first half hour of Black Sunday/The Mask of the Demon by myself. It was okay; I didn't really mind, but last Hallowe'en was a lot more fun. We plugged in the fog machine, put on the Dark Shadows 1991 revival, and it was magic.:)

Merlin, who elected not to dress up this year.

According to f-list, numerous people had kind of a lackluster Hallowe'en this year. May next year be better!
